What is the Alumni?

The alumni is a group that is run by a graduated senior from the law enforcement pathway that comes back and helps with the current students. Examples of this would be during our Skills competition they come back and teach about they had learned and what competition was like for them. Also they come back to just help out Mr. Doss with some of the lessons we would learn that day or give feedback for events that we would have. The main goal of the alumni group is to come back to the pathway and teach/help the pathway grow even more.

Who are the Alumni?

The Alumni are graduating seniors of the pathway. Once a senior has graduated, they are now a part of the alumni and are welcome back with open arms to talk about what they have learned in their senior year or in their years in college. Although they have just graduated, they are still wise and loving when it comes to working with the current students.

What was senior year like for them?

This is a good question, Why don’t we ask one of the graduating senior, Johnna Ortiz of Class of 2015, what senior year was like for her? “My senior year was great due to this pathway. I bonded with great people that became like a family to me. I loved spending my time in the classroom and volunteering at events. I will always remember my last year in high school.”

What was it like having past graduate students teaching you?

Having graduate students coming back to teach was really amazing cause they gave me one on one lessons about training.  The seniors teaching us was really cool I don’t know what other pathways allow their past seniors to come back and teach plus help us get ready for competitions. Also they explain what it was like for them and what we should expect.
